The Molecular Biology Platform’s main mission is to provide innovative molecular diagnostic solutions (HIV, Hepatitis, HPV, CT / NG, emerging and re-emerging diseases …), therapeutic monitoring of infectious diseases of importance for public health (HIV, HBV and HCV, emerging and re-emerging diseases ……) and applied research (molecular typing of pathogens and establishment of their genomic identity) through collaborative research projects.
To this end, it has put in place state-of-the-art technologies that are operational and necessary for the practice of molecular biology, including conventional or real-time PCR and next-generation high-throughput sequencing (NGS) for diagnostic and diagnostic purposes. of research. It also provides support to national health programs as well as the training of national and sub-regional trainees, the strengthening of the capacity of health managers and the monitoring and supervision of university students.
