We are excited to announce a vacancy in the Lab-Corps Fellows Program based in Nairobi, Kenya. This opportunity is part of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) efforts, supporting young professionals in laboratory sciences to contribute to the fight against HIV.

The PHIA Fellowship Program is looking for an in-country fellow residing in Nairobi, Kenya, to work on vital HIV Impact Assessments. The fellow will engage in activities such as conducting epidemiologic surveys, improving diagnostic testing quality, mapping specimen referral systems, and implementing HIV viral load testing.

This fellowship offers:

  • Hands-on experience in HIV diagnostics and public health
  • Mentorship from global partners including CDC-Atlanta and PEPFAR Implementing Partners
  • A one-year commitment with the possibility of extension
  • A monthly stipend and travel allowances for work-related activities

Applicants must possess a degree in biological or medical laboratory sciences and demonstrate strong communication, data management, and organizational skills. Applications are due by November 8, 2024.
