On Monday, December 10, the conference of the ASLM – African Society for Laboratory Medicine started in Abuja, Nigeria. This meeting, which is held every two years, focuses on preventing and controlling the next pandemic: the role of the laboratory.
The aim is to provide information on the landscape of laboratory medicine and needs in Africa. It also aims to educate private, public and philanthropic donors about investment opportunities in laboratory medicine. For Professor Souleymane Mboup, President of the Institute for Health Research, Epidemiological Surveillance and Training – IRESSEF who chaired the opening of the conference,
