Having come to inaugurate the Institute headed by Professor Souleymane Mboup, the head of state said his willingness to release the envelope of 3 billion CFA francs remaining to complete the work of the research center based in the new city of Diamniadio.
All of the works are expected to cost a total of $ 9 billion over the long term, of which the six are supported by the Gilead Foundation, the main lessor based in Seatlle, in the United States.
The IRESSEF, which will promote research to fight against pandemics such as AIDS, Ebola, tuberculosis, cancer, etc., occupies 12,000 square meters on a property base of 3 ha.
The building has 45 premises built on 6 levels, explained its president and CEO, Professor Souleymane Mboup.
